DESTINYLAND
A Digital Odyssey
theProject
"Destinyland – A Digital Odyssey" is a multilingual digital project developed by the international artists’ collective Eteria Filon.
It is inspired by the universe of The Achilleion Museum on Corfu island and the dreamer who envisioned it
– a woman widely known as Sisi.
Between 10th September and 24th December 2021, the artistic team is building an experimental narrative – a hybrid – which combines the making-of of a future project with portraits of the artists involved, while documenting the team´s challenging research journey under the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, so-called ‘Lockdownland’.
theResidency
Eteria Filon is sharing the outcome of its three-month online residency through an open public platform, allowing audiences to experience the narrative construction of ‘Destinyland – A Digital Odyssey’. Every three weeks, the collective publishes one of six parts that might be considered chapters in the team’s research journey and/or episodes of the resulting online series, here at: www.destinyland.eu.
theJourney
The digital ship – the MS Destinyland – takes the audience along on a journey of discovery through past ages and into the present, as the artistic team travels through so-called "Lockdownland" through a multilingual online experience in six episodes.
